Reading time:

I was born in Jeju Island, Korea, raised in Seoul, and moved to UK to become a London-based artist. I studied BA Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts, London (Sculpture) 2022.

While never losing sight of an exploration of Korean culture and politics, my work repeatedly addresses ideas of passage, movement, ‘ways’ and journeys.

I make minimal, conceptual and performance works, using a variety of media, processes, genres and forms.
I have shown my works widely, and am a Jerwood drawing competition winner (2012).

books
One of the variety of media I use as my art practice is bookmaking. And I have now been doing it for many years. As part of the publisher eeodo, I have made several books of my own. I see this book making is not different from any other media I use.  The process and final outcome of a book form, and its distribution, are all, in the end, to express and share my art with the audience.

On Tuesdays, I make an entry of something that can be an ephemeral gesture of my being; that can be a tick of my passing time; that can also be a candid immanent art practice. And , sure that, this can be a little back door to greet the unknown world .
