I chose this title as sort of a sarcastic joke on myself. Early on in the first year, when we were, as a curriculum project, learning casting, my doubts about carrying on the course loomed large.
I decided to make a 50 cm diameter cast bronze sphere, then lift it up onto the edge of a D-shaped structure, looking as if precariously balanced on the square-tubular steel. This piece ended up taking up the three years of the course, made in gaps between other projects.
While making the mold, using tons of plaster in the foundry, the white dust trailed me wherever I went. So did the uncertainty of me being able to stay in London.
