One of the people I had admired since childhood was Einstein and I liked the combination of high intelligence and stupid gesture in a certain portrait of him. Having recently performed The Root, involving a head shave, I felt ready to occupy Einstein’s paradoxical image as perhaps a place to end and to begin.
